She’s been broken by life. He’s always had it easy. Can they trust each other
enough to be the fix they both need?

I used to wonder if there was something wrong with me, because there was nothing wrong with me. I’m a happy, well-adjusted, laid-back guy, or so I always thought. The reality, though, is I’ve been coasting through life, not thinking or feeling, just being

That is until everything goes wrong, and Emi comes crashing into my life in the worst way possible. Yet for all the drama, angst, and heartache she brings with her, she’s also shown me what it means to be human—to feel, love, and hurt. She’s taught me what it meant to be alive.

She’s so fragile, yet she’s also the strongest person I know—a true survivor. She’s been to hell and back but wakes up every morning ready to fight another day.

And when tragedy strikes and my perfect world falls apart, she’s the one helping me pick up the pieces. Yet each time she needs me to be there for her, she pushes me away.

But I refuse to just walk away. She’s taught me that real life isn’t easy, and if something’s worth wanting, it’s worth fighting for.

MV ELLIS knows what it’s like to fall head over heels in love with a badass musician. She followed her heart halfway around the world to be with one. She moved from London to Sydney after a steamy holiday romance with a sexy bass player in sultry Brazil.

Twelve years, two children and a dog later, and she’s still smitten. All this with a guy she sat next to on a bus for 36 hours! She has toured internationally as a “WAG,” and her experiences inspire her writing.

Ellis’s love of romance began when she was 11 years old, after a summer spent secretly reading her auntie’s books. She’s been a sucker for an alpha hero and strong heroine ever since.

An avid reader, Ellis always knew she’d write a book of her own one day. She was right about that. Following a career spanning advertising, marketing, and social media, she finally wrote Catching London in 2017.

Another Shot by Stephen Anthony Brotherton – Book Review

Another Shot by Stephen Anthony Brotherton by is an interesting novel. Jo-Jo comes searching for Freddie almost after thirty years. After their teenage love affair, they parted ways and moved on with their lives. How does the reentry of Jo-Jo in Freddie’s life affect him?

The rekindling of their love brings back so many memories, untold feelings and apologies. Freddie and Jo-Jo both are still in love with each other but they dont know what to do with that love. The timeline in the story is unique.

The author also mentioned a thing or two about certain mental illnesses, broken families and kids dealing with their broken parents. The best part is the author wrote this story inspired by some true events in his own life. An entertaining book. The pace felt a little slow in between the pages but the story as a whole is very sweet.

During the investigation, Finn and Gabby fall in danger’s way many times but their determination finally helps them unravel the suspense and the killer and also catch a big smuggling racket.

A sweet story of love, family, suspense and second chance. I loved it.

Letters to a Stranger by Mercedes Pinto Maldonado – Book Review

Letters to a Stranger by Mercedes Pinto Maldonado is a fiction where the protagonist Berta has to come back to Spain from London to settle the financials and properties after her mother’s death. Berta has a troubled childhood from which she runs away at the age of nineteen and builds a life of her own in London.

Berta has to face her childhood demons while she stays at the house where she grew up. When she tried to find answers from her past with the help of a private detective, she finds herself in trouble. Her nanny Teresa, pet cat Aris and her doll Neca are her only companions. She finds a bunch of letters in the attic and starts reading them. Berta falls in love with the writer of the letters who happens to be living far away in USA trying very hard to get back in touch with his love Yolanda.

The story’s plotline is a little flat but readable. I really wish Berta finally settled with Saul.

The Only Worlds We Know by Michael Lee – Book Review

The Only Worlds We Know by Michael Lee is a small book of poems. The poems talk about pain, loss, grief, addiction and people we love. I felt that the poems are very intense. There were a little loud and on the darker side but certain lines in the poems make you pause and re-read to understand the depth. There is a honesty in thee author’s words that exume an out of the world philosophy.

The pain in the poems hits the reader hard. It’s short but very strong. This book took me by surprise. Definitely a remarkable debut by the author Michael Lee!
