Stay by Jennifer Silverwood – Book Review

Stay is the second book I’ve read from the author Jennifer Silverwood. The best thing about the author is that the books are very easy to read. The characters, setting and details are very natural.. it doesn’t feel like they are parts of her imagination. The book feels very real though this is not a regular fiction.

I fell in love with the female lead Orona from the first chapter itself. I tried to give her life in my imagination but every time I read another detailing about her appearance; I feel that I’ve failed to imagine her right. I loved how Orona accepted the curse from her lover Seid and walked the earth for two thousand years testing and protecting true love.

This is a kind of supernatural romance fiction which doesn’t feel artificial. The male lead Cain is an interesting character. He is very much hurt when his girlfriend Lissa breaks his heart and leaves him for another rich guy. Orona is assigned the job of bringing back Cain and Lissa. But Orona falls in love with Cain since he is very much like Seid. Orona starts feeling Cain’s love and loves him in return though she knows its not in the rulebook. She faces a huge conflict about her love for Cain and her job of bringing Cain and Lissa together. The story is about what she chooses to do by the end.

I very much enjoyed this story. All the supernatural powers of Orona, Cain’s love, Orona’s past, Lissa’s guilt, everything make the story very engaging. Its an out and out entertainment. I couldn’t put down the book until I hit the last page. The story is beautifully written and succeeds in engaging the reader completely.

Book Review – She Walks in Moonlight by Jennifer Silverwood

She Walks in Moonlight is a beautiful story. This is the first book I’m reading from Jennifer Silverwood. The lead character Zwezda Danica Pavlova comes to USA from Russia at the age of 8. She meets Adam King in her new school. They become best friends instantly. They grow together but Zwezda’s bad past experiences and her gypsy mother influence push her to leave everything she loves behind and run to Russia. She comes back to USA to help her brother who is suffering from cancer to raise his kids. She faces Adam again after 10 years who is a changed man now and no more a high school teenager whom she left behind. The story is about how she finds her hope again and how she takes the leap of faith in spite of her fears.

The hero Adam is a wonderful character. He is a strong man who fights all odds and stands on his feet again after a terrible accident and successfully serves the army. The story makes you believe in second chances and love. I totally enjoyed this story and finished reading it in just a day. The characters are very wonderfully built by the author. Almost everyone in the story is wonderful beings, from kids to the adults. This is a very good book for everyone. Loved it, totally!

Let’s give it a try!

holding hands

Did you ever meet someone who feels like your other half? Did you ever wanted to take it to next level, but was scared to do so? Are your past experiences stopping you from taking the next step? Let me tell you a small story about someone who felt just like you…

A boy and a girl knew each other for a long time. They both shared a great bond, they could understand each other without words being said. They shared almost everything and supported each other in many ways. Their relationship had no name but it was nothing less than love. One day she asked him if they can give their relationship a name. He said he is scared to name it and scared to trust anyone to that extent.

She said, “Let’s give it a try. Let’s not commit to anything yet. Let’s say we are going to try swimming in the sea and you are scared of the waves. I’ll hold your hand and walk with you down the beach till where the blue waters kiss the sand. Let’s get in a little farther till we go knee deep. Since you are scared from the start, I’m not going to force you to go any further. But if you choose to get adventurous and try a little bit more, I’m not going to leave your hand. I’ll show you what its like to be in a relationship with me. I’m going to show you what its like when the waves of my love caress your feet. I’m leaving it to you to imagine how it’s gonna be when you let yourself into this relationship. The sea holds treasures of plenty of emotions, you can find corals of my love deep down the seabed. When your love for me shines like the Sun, I’m gonna turn orange reflecting your colors. I’m not going to lie to you.. there will be some storms when the wind blows the wrong way, but I promise we’ll work out a way to get through them together. We can build our dreams together like kids build sandcastles on the beach. You can get a glimpse of me, of US when we are a couple. If you like it, let’s get into it more, swim together and explore the depths of each other’s souls. I think it would be my biggest regret if we don’t give us a chance. What do you say?”

He looked into her eyes thoughtfully, smiled and agreed. Thus, started their love story!
