Stay by Jennifer Silverwood – Book Review

Stay is the second book I’ve read from the author Jennifer Silverwood. The best thing about the author is that the books are very easy to read. The characters, setting and details are very natural.. it doesn’t feel like they are parts of her imagination. The book feels very real though this is not a regular fiction.

I fell in love with the female lead Orona from the first chapter itself. I tried to give her life in my imagination but every time I read another detailing about her appearance; I feel that I’ve failed to imagine her right. I loved how Orona accepted the curse from her lover Seid and walked the earth for two thousand years testing and protecting true love.

This is a kind of supernatural romance fiction which doesn’t feel artificial. The male lead Cain is an interesting character. He is very much hurt when his girlfriend Lissa breaks his heart and leaves him for another rich guy. Orona is assigned the job of bringing back Cain and Lissa. But Orona falls in love with Cain since he is very much like Seid. Orona starts feeling Cain’s love and loves him in return though she knows its not in the rulebook. She faces a huge conflict about her love for Cain and her job of bringing Cain and Lissa together. The story is about what she chooses to do by the end.

I very much enjoyed this story. All the supernatural powers of Orona, Cain’s love, Orona’s past, Lissa’s guilt, everything make the story very engaging. Its an out and out entertainment. I couldn’t put down the book until I hit the last page. The story is beautifully written and succeeds in engaging the reader completely.

Book Review of ‘Stud’ by ML Nystrom

Stud is a Motor Club Romance and I am totally in love with this book. This is the second book from the Dragon Runners series. The narration by ML Nystrom is amazing. The story is totally engaging and I couldn’t put it away until the last page. Stud is an amazing character and I love him. Eva is one hell of a heroine. She is not a regular helpless girl but a very strong woman who can throw a punch or two when needed. She works on the construction site like a man but also holds a passion for sewing in her heart. I thought it was very very cute. Stud has a bad past and terrible relationship with his family but he finds love and trust at the biker’s club. The story says character, trust and honesty among family members are more important than riches and false prestige. I was not that much into motor club stories and biker romances and now my opinion has completely changed.

I want to read more and more books from ML Nystrom. I must say she has a magic in her writing. I can’t wait to read her next book. The pace is perfect, situations are very realistic, characters are strong and beautiful and the story is subtle. Stud is a wonderful read.

It’s Complicated (Undeniable Book 1) by Nikki Prince – Book Review

It’s Complicated is the first book from the series of Undeniable by Nikki Prince. The book was enjoyable. This is a story about friends who decide to go for a No Strings Attached relationship but end up falling head over heels in love with each other. Ashton, Keiko, Emmie, Royce, Aine, Darian, and Perry are very close friends from college days. Perry dies of cancer suddenly. Perry has always wanted Keiko to take her attraction for Ashton to next level but she never dared to pursue it further for the fear of ruining the friendship. After Perry is gone, Keiko decides that life is too short to live beating around the bush. She talks to her friends Emmie and Aine, and advises them as well to think about their interest in Royce and Darian, respectively. When Keiko talks about her attraction and her plan to seek a friends with benefits relationship, Ashton couldn’t say no since he is very much attracted to Keiko from the beginning. The relationship starts smoothly, they share a great chemistry and everything is fine. Just then, a jealous ex of Ashton comes along threatening Keiko to stay away from Ashton. In the meantime, Ashton and Keiko fall in love with each other deeply and decide to take it further. Though they face trouble from Ashton’s ex and her partner, they deal with it with the help of their friends and the story ends well when Ashton asks Keiko to marry him.

The story is very straight with no fuss. Its a cute love story of best friends. The friendship, love and jealousy are very well narrated by the author. There are few steamy scenes between Ashton and Keiko, which will leave you all hot and bothered. I had fun reading this book. I totally look forward to reading the next book from the Undeniable series.
