I am a home to butterflies by J. Alchem – Book Review

Every single word is a beauty in itself and each one makes complete sense. I could relate myself to many of the poems. I found love, pain, encouragement, heartbreak, hope and life in the poetry. I already read some of the author’s work and I am a home to butterflies is another extra ordinary work penned by Alchem. I loved this book to the core. The surprise element in the book is the story Letters in the end. I definitely didn’t expect the ending and it’s beautifully crafted. This book is an easy read and I finished reading it in just couple of hours. But I must say it left a lasting impression on my heart.

Cheers to the author. I look forward to reading more work from him.

Book Review – She Walks in Moonlight by Jennifer Silverwood

She Walks in Moonlight is a beautiful story. This is the first book I’m reading from Jennifer Silverwood. The lead character Zwezda Danica Pavlova comes to USA from Russia at the age of 8. She meets Adam King in her new school. They become best friends instantly. They grow together but Zwezda’s bad past experiences and her gypsy mother influence push her to leave everything she loves behind and run to Russia. She comes back to USA to help her brother who is suffering from cancer to raise his kids. She faces Adam again after 10 years who is a changed man now and no more a high school teenager whom she left behind. The story is about how she finds her hope again and how she takes the leap of faith in spite of her fears.

The hero Adam is a wonderful character. He is a strong man who fights all odds and stands on his feet again after a terrible accident and successfully serves the army. The story makes you believe in second chances and love. I totally enjoyed this story and finished reading it in just a day. The characters are very wonderfully built by the author. Almost everyone in the story is wonderful beings, from kids to the adults. This is a very good book for everyone. Loved it, totally!

My Review:

Mrs Murray’s Ghost by Emily-Jane Hills is a cute story. I volunteered to read the ARC copy and review it. I wouldn’t call it a horror story because, after reading this book, I started believing that ghosts can be friendly too given a chance. It’s kind of a fairytale with brownies, friendly ghosts and a dream world with witches, dragons and many more. I totally enjoyed the fantasy world. I wouldn’t mind reading this story to my daughter. The story revolves around a 10 year old girl named Mary. When her family moves into a huge mansion-like house, they experience strange banging and unusual activity in their home. Mary meets her brownie friends who are stuck in the same house for over centuries far away from their homeland. Mary is the person who is going to rescue them and help Mrs. Murray, too.

When Mary falls ill, her brownie friends and Mrs. Murray’s ghost enter Mary’s dream world to help her get better. The story is very engaging. The characters are well established. It’s a fresh flavor to read. This is a book for almost all age groups. I totally enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to my friends.

Book Review of ‘Stud’ by ML Nystrom

Stud is a Motor Club Romance and I am totally in love with this book. This is the second book from the Dragon Runners series. The narration by ML Nystrom is amazing. The story is totally engaging and I couldn’t put it away until the last page. Stud is an amazing character and I love him. Eva is one hell of a heroine. She is not a regular helpless girl but a very strong woman who can throw a punch or two when needed. She works on the construction site like a man but also holds a passion for sewing in her heart. I thought it was very very cute. Stud has a bad past and terrible relationship with his family but he finds love and trust at the biker’s club. The story says character, trust and honesty among family members are more important than riches and false prestige. I was not that much into motor club stories and biker romances and now my opinion has completely changed.

I want to read more and more books from ML Nystrom. I must say she has a magic in her writing. I can’t wait to read her next book. The pace is perfect, situations are very realistic, characters are strong and beautiful and the story is subtle. Stud is a wonderful read.
